Most famous role as Brigid O'Shaunessy in Maltese Falcon with Humphrey Bogart 1941.
Won Oscar for Best supporting actress in The Great Lie 1941. Acted in movies, stage and Tv
into the 60's and was the author of five novels. Autobiography became a best seller as did her book
Life on Film about her career.
